About Us

Organization for Peace, Relief and Development-OPRD is non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization that was founded in August 15, 2010 by a group of South Sudanese who felt the need to respond to the deteriorating situation of the South Sudan people. We focus on the following pillars:

Our core focus

OPRD seeks to support the various minority and disadvantaged groups in both urban and rural areas through positive change. OPRD’s mission is to uplift the people from the grass roots level by protecting their human rights, enhancing their health, striving for their food security and literacy, eradicating their poverty, building their peace and increasing their capacity and responding to their emergencies.



OPRD strives to ultimately see a stable and economical strong South Sudanese community living in harmony and people respect the ideals of peace, good governance, rule of law, human rights and sustainable resource management.
